EARLIER this month members of Fantasy Dubbo DanceSport competed in their first competition of the year - the FATD Autumn DanceSport Festival at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush.

Twelve-year-old Anna Single competed in her first ever competition against a large field. She danced in all three styles in the Bronze Juvenile Dance League and Juvenile Individual girl. And she won every single event she danced in, coming away with six gold medals.
"She was amazing and we are so proud of her achievements for her first time," Fantasy Dubbo DanceSport's Kim Tongue said.
"One of the adjudicators, Alex Schembri came over to Anna and said she 'danced beautifully and she deserved every single win that she received'."
"This type of comment from an adjudicator is unheard of."
Thirteen-year-old Logan Setterfield also competed in his first DanceSport competition.
He competed in the Standard and New Vogue styles in the Bronze Junior Dance League and the Junior Individual boy.
"He was very nervous being his first time, but he danced beautifully and came away with amazing results - three first place and three second place medals," Ms Tongue said.
"Dubbo really represented well against the metropolitan competitors."
Joel Tongue and Cassandra Donnelly competed in all three styles in Adult Level 4 Standard, Adult Level 3 New Vogue and Latin American and the Adult Open New Vogue.
They won a first, second, third, fourth and fifth place on the day, competing against some of Australia's best dancers including Australia's world representative Rachel Plass and Steven Grinsberg.
"With such amazing results the most rewarding part of the day were the constant feedback from the top level adjudicators," Ms Tongue said.
