Dubbo's Virginia Carter is a living example of someone who will never let the grass grow under her feet nor miss an opportunity to push her boundaries.
Ms Carter's appearance on Channel Nine's Millionaire Hot Seat last night is testimony to that.
Armed with the attitude of just enjoying the experience, the trivia-lover entertained audience members and managed to walk away with a tidy $20,000 and an experience she won't forget in a hurry.
And with a heart as big as her smile, she plans to splurge not only on friends and family, but to donate some of her winnings to charity.
As an former employee of the Daily Liberal, we were thrilled to learn of Ms Carter's win, especially after a difficult period after the sudden death of her much loved son, Jordan.
If anyone deserved a spending-spree and a bit of a laugh, it was this lovely lady.
Ms Carter has been a great ambassador for the city of Dubbo, taking along a bag full of I Love Dubbo goodies for host, Eddy McGuire.
We are confident Eddie will cherish his I Love Dubbo T-shirt and stubby holder.
It is also inspiring to see someone do something a bit outside the square, face the fear and do it anyway.
Congratulations Virginia, and don't go changing.
