Lindsay has called Canada home in recent years and now he's ready to play in his first Australian event.
How things have changed over the years.
In the 2007 Easter Tournament Wilson went up against a top-class field and was right in the mix after the first day with four-under-par 67.
Then on the Sunday things got hot and so did the pressure but the former Dubbo College student was up to the task. He birdied two of the last three holes, shot 70 (five under) and beat Matt Gleeson (66-72) by a shot.
John Swan was third after rounds of 66-72 with Grant Scott, another former Dubbo junior playing out of Nelson Bay, on 141 (71-70).
Both Lindsay Wilson and Scott have graduated to the professional ranks but have taken different pathways to full-time careers.
