The Westpac and Commonwealth banks have announced relief packages to assist customers who are suffering hardship as a result of the bushfires across the Warrumbungle Shire area.

Westpac's Disaster Relief Package offers immediate financial help to customers affected by the bushfires, with Westpac staff providing additional support for those in need through the local branches and contact centres.
Affected customers should contact Westpac on 1300 369 989 so they couldassist with temporary accommodation and emergency funds.
Claims can be lodged 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling this number.
Meanwhile the Commonwealth Bank is personally contacting all clients in the affected areas and offering assistance to both personal and business customers.
"We understand the devastating effect these fires have had on communities, and the need to provide support and reassurance to bushfire victims during this time," executive retail sales manager, Lyn McGrath said.
Commonwealth Bank customers affected by the fires and seeking assistance should call 13 2221.
