The first class tourism precinct will be open for the duration of the festival from 9am to 5pm daily with plenty to offer partygoers with a one-stop tourism experience incorporating the Parkes Visitor Information Centre and four unique museums including the King's Castle Elvis Exhibit, Parkes Motor Museum, Henry Parkes Museum and Pioneer Park Antique Machinery Collection.
Parkes' council's tourism manager Kelly Hendry said, "we have a great gift on offer for the person who completes this milestone for the Henry Parkes Centre during the Elvis Festival period".
"Whether you are a first time or a returning visitor to the museum complex there is something new for everyone, including a newly re-vamped King's Castle Elvis exhibit featuring never seen before pieces including Elvis' famous two-tone blue and white penguin suit worn on stage in Las Vegas in 1975," she said.
"Visitors to my collection really enjoy the fact they have the opportunity to get close to things that Elvis owned and were part of his life, especially here in Australia," exhibition owner and former Wiggle, Greg Page said.
"The thousands of genuine Elvis fans that attend the Festival here in Parkes will appreciate a visit to The King's Castle and I'm sure they will be suitably impressed with the new items that are on display for the first time including Elvis and Priscilla's bed from their Hillcrest Drive, Beverly Hills home, Elvis' piano and a pair of his swimming trunks."
Visitors can access the complex on the northern side of town on the Newell Highway via the festival shuttle bus or their own transport with adequate parking for long vehicles.
