Officers tried to stop a Toyota Prado four-wheel-drive after it was seen being driven in an erratic manner in Bligh Street, Dubbo about 3.30am yesterday.
Police began to chase it after it took off.
The pursuit was terminated in Myall Street near Armstrong Crescent because of safety concerns.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in Aldrin Avenue. Inquiries revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Parkes and the driver had already led police on a pursuit in Parkes on Tuesday night.
