THE GLIDING Federation of Australia is currently conducting an investigation into the fatal glider crash that occurred at Narromine on December 5.
Emergency services were called to Warren Road after the glider attempted to land and crashed onto the roadway.
The pilot, 51-year-old Queensland man Errol Spletter, had taken part in a glider competition.
He died shortly after being removed from the aircraft at Narromine Hospital as a result of his injuries.
The incident shocked the community and competitors at the Narromine aerodrome.
Until the crash occurred the championships had been considered a highly successful event.
