Morris Park Promotions' Leanne Anning fielded calls from interested spectators from Orange, Bathurst, Newcastle, Sydney and two other states in the lead-up to the Dubbo-bound round of the National Super Sedan Series.
Mrs Anning encouraged people from Dubbo to come to Morris Park to see series leader Lachlan Onley, who calls the Dubbo track home, and Parkes driver Tony Barklimore in action.
With some drivers arriving earlier in the week and a large out-of-town contingent of spectators expected, the promoter had no doubt the event, like others at the speedway, would have a positive impact on Dubbo's economy.
Motor sport enthusiasts can see drivers and their cars at the Dubbo Visitors Information Centre this morning.
Gates open at Morris Park at 5pm and racing starts at 7pm.
