The young people started to leave the park after three police vehicles arrived in the area, according to Orana LAC duty officer Inspector Alan Cusack.
"They were smashing bottles and making noise. They were doing silly things like kicking fences,"?he said.
Police took bottles of alcohol from the young people and emptied them.
"Police will continue to enforce this through the New Year period," Inspector Cusack said.
Police moved on a group of young people near Armstrong Crescent who were exhibiting antisocial behaviour.
When police spoke to neighbours in the area they refused to assist with inquiries and claimed the young people were visiting from other towns.
"Police felt that the young people were from the area," Inspector Cusack said.
