Man pleads guilty to three offences

A 20-YEAR-OLD man will continue working with the Magistrate's Early Referral Into Treatment (MERIT) drug and alcohol diversion program after pleading guilty to three serious offences in Dubbo Local Court.

Angus Grady Caswell faced Magistrate Andrew Eckhold on charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, resist police and malicious damage of property. Police allege the offences occurred in Dubbo on September 7.

All charges were adjourned to January 30.

Participants are closely case-managed by the MERIT team and the court receives regular progress reports. Final hearing and sentence generally coincides with the completion of the MERIT program.
