Mrs Burt bought two Dubbo West Rotary Club Christmas raffle tickets and did not think she would win.
When she was told she had won the first prize, a trailer full of camping gear, she rang her son in excitement.
"You will never know what just happened to me. I just won the major prize," she told him.
"I just couldn't believe it. It is a wonderful Christmas gift."
Mrs Burt said she would share the trailer full of goodies with her family but might keep some for herself.
"I think I'll keep the barbecue, the esky and the chairs," she said.
"I won't go camping myself but I'm sure my family will use the gifts. Trust me, nothing will be left over or stored away."
Dubbo West Rotary Club member Robert Pfeiffer thanked the community for making the Christmas raffle successful.
"It'll all go back into the community," he said.
Mrs Burt's advice to Dubbo residents was to always enter competitions and hope for the best.
"You never know your luck," she said.
