Portia Thompson of Macquarie Anglican Grammar School was awarded third place and won a $50 voucher.
First place and a $200 gift voucher went to Zarek Berger from St Augustine's Parish School in Narromine.
Zarek received a $200 gift voucher and his artwork will appear on the MP's 2012 Christmas card.
Second place was awarded to Lily Steele-Park of Forbes Public School, who received a $100 voucher.
In announcing the winners, Mr Grant reported an overwhelming response to the competition and difficulty in selecting a winner.
"There were a great many schools involved and it provided a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the obvious creative talent of students from across the electorate," he said.
"I particularly enjoyed the entries that really entered into the spirit of the competition and its central theme of Christmas in the Bush.
Mr Grant said Zarek submitted a "standout" entry.
"His brilliant use of colour and the inclusion of animals that I see on my regular visits to Taronga Western Plains Zoo really caught my attention," he said.
More than 300 children who entered the competition will receive a written note of thanks from Mr Grant.
"I wish I could reward each and every one of them for their efforts," he said.
"This is the first year that I have run this competition. It has been such an overwhelming success that I can hardly wait to do it all again."
