NRMA director Graham Blight said the motorists' organisation was pleased to be able to provide the equipment and hoped it might be able to help save lives.
"I wish the tool was never needed, but the sad reality is serious crashes continue to occur in the central west," Mr Blight said.
The NSW VRA provided 5844 volunteer hours last financial year, tending to 810 crashes and assisting 639 trapped occupants.
