DUBBO-trained galloper Rockbuster will be out to make it two wins in the space of a week when it lines up in the $8000 Neil Veech Memorial Benchmark 60 Handicap (1400m) at Wellington tomorrow.
The six-year-old lumped 57kg to win over the same distance at Warren last Sunday, with apprentice Catherine Markwort's three-kilogram allowance undoubtedly the difference between victory and defeat.
Trained by Garry Lunn, the Rock of Gibraltar (IRE) x Poetique gelding will be looking to add to a resume that already features six wins and 13 minor placings from 44 career starts.
The Neil Veech Memorial is the feature event on a six-race TAB program that will coincide with Sandown Guineas day in Melbourne, the traditional finale to the spring carnival.
Some of the region's two-year-olds will get their first look at the Wellington track as trainers aim towards next year's Wellington Boot, when they line up in the Elders Finance 2yo Plate (900m).
The juvenile event has six runners, with Mudgee trainer Brett Thompson providing half the field, and will open the program at 2.22pm.
The last race is scheduled for 5.42pm.
