RECENTLY sacked St Kilda footballer Jason Gram has been convicted and fined $5000 on six criminal charges.
Gram, 28, was this week also put on a court order to undergo assessment and treatment for alcohol abuse or dependency.
A magistrate on Tuesday put Gram on a 12-month community correction order with an added component that he receive mental health assessment and treatment.
Fairfax cannot for legal reasons publish the nature of the charges.
Gram was arrested last weekend for committing offences after being bailed on other charges. His bail was revoked and he appeared on Monday at the Moorabbin Justice Centre where he pleaded guilty to a consolidation of the charges.
Barrister Ian Crisp told Magistrate Rosemary Carlin that Gram's guilty pleas were an expression of his remorse. He said Gram hoped to play football with another AFL club.
