PCYC gymnasts jumping for joy at results

21 Oct, 2009 03:00 AM
Gymnasts from the Dubbo PCYC Gymnastics Club joined Australia’s elite in Adelaide to compete in the 2009 Trampoline Sports Australian Championships.

The championships saw the states go head-to-head in individual trampoline, tumbling, double mini tramp and synchronised trampoline, allowing the athletes to showcase their skills whiledemonstrating the joy and excitement synonymous with Trampoline Sports.

Three locals earned selection into the 83-strong NSW team that went on to win the Overall State Team title for the sixth time running, mostly due to our dominance in winning the Overall Tumbling title.

The Dubbo athletes significantly contributed towards NSW’s title, enjoying some great success at this year’s event.

All three placed in their respective tumbling finals, with Tori Petty becoming the Australian champion for under-13 women.

Nicole Miller was placed third in under-15s and Majayda Darcy finished fourth in the under-15s.

The competition was held at ETSA Park in Adelaide.
