There are now only six rounds to play in this year’s event before we head into the 2009-10 semi-final series. With a massive amount of rain late last week and over the weekend the course is looking absolutely fantastic.
There were some mixed results last week due to some teams not being able to play on Friday.
I would encourage all teams to at least have three cards entered prior to the end of the week, as some leading teams were severely affected due to no play available.
Remember that we need at least three cards from three individual players to constitute your teams score. If we only have 0, 1 or 2 cards then the remaining scores will be granted with a 50 nett.
So if you plan on playing on Friday’s try to have some scores already in by the end of the week.
Congratulations to Wayne Basham (Dubbo Teachers), Luke Scott (Crossroads) and Allan Kernahan (West Rotary) for the best scores of the week.
I have listed below the format for the semi-finals, grand finals and champion of champions.
The top four teams from each pool after 20 rounds contest the semi-finals the week following. Team 1 plays 4 and team 2 plays 3 from each respective pool. The scoring format remains the same.
The two winning teams from each pool progress to the grand final week.
The scoring system remains the same.
At completion of the grand finals there will be nine winning teams. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to first and second place in all pools.
On April 10 the champion of champions event will be played.
It will involve all nine winning teams from each pool in a 2pm shotgun start with scoring to remain the same.
The team that returns the lowest nett team score will be crowned as the 2009-10 Super 6 champion of champion.
April 10 is also the presentation night for free bar, food and entertainment with over $20,000 in trophies and prizes to be awarded. I will soon be taking team bookings for this fantastic night.
So grab your team members and continue to play on the fairways.
