Field settles while Hot Fuzz goes missing

13 Feb, 2008 07:39 AM
TWILIGHT GOLF: Calling all cars, calling all cars, what has happened to Hot Fuzz?

In the first two weeks of competition they have no score, but knowing the captain of this band of brothers and I am sure they will bounce back with style.

The rest of the field is settling down with a lot

of movement in the top order from last week

with Club Punters taking the lead and

informing me that this where they are going to stay.

They are joined by Custom Steel, DPI Duffers, and Ross Harris Painting all locked in on maximum 16 points for the first two rounds.

They are closely followed by Andrew

Spencer Concreting, Pastoral Hotel, Steel Supplies and Telstra on 13 points with Genesys and Pegasus rounding out the top 10 teams on 11 points.

The recent rains and the work of Allan Horrocks from and his crew from Grass Roots Turf Care have the Dubbo golf course looking magnificent.

This course without doubt is the best west of the mountains and with the smell of freshly-mown fairways, green approaches that are sculptured, dams that are full of wildlife with baby ducks a swimming and with the sound of the Siamang apes calling to each other from the zoo in the background make for a great afternoon once a week playing a round in the Custom Steel twilight golf.

With the competition fees priced at a ridiculous $12 for nine holes of golf for non-members and a crazy $5 for members this is one great way to wind down at the end of a day and then relax in the club house with a cold beverage of your choice.

So do your self a favour because you earned it and come and join the other 170 players from this week.
