Time is running out to put in a bid for the chance to play a round of golf with Sir Vivian Richards.
Richards will fly into Dubbo next Wednesday February 17 and that afternoon will play nine holes at Dubbo Golf Club.
His visit kicks off a speaking tour coinciding with the West Indies versus Australia one-day and twenty20 series with a Sportsman’s Dinner to be held in the Fairways Function Room in the evening.
A silent auction is currently taking place with the highest 16 bidders to earn the right to play in a nine-hole stableford event with Richards, former Australian fast bowler Rodney Hogg and the dinner’s MC, Justin Karcher.
The top two bidders will play in Richards’ group while a $5 raffle is being run for the fourth spot in the group.
The next three bidders will play with Hogg and the next three with Karcher followed by two groups of four.
The day starts at 1.30pm with drinks and finger food with the special guests then a 2pm shotgun start and a presentation and drinks at the completion of golf. There is no starting bid price so you could be in one of these groups for as little as $20, just ask the staff at the Dubbo Golf Club bar for a bidding slip.
Time is running out for those hoping to hit a ball with these gentleman, with the winners of the silent auction and raffle to be drawn next Wednesday, February 10 at 6pm.
