The first program, the 2010 Cricket Skills Development program to be conducted under the guidance of Cricket NSW’s regional coaching director Max Shepherd, will concentrate on developing skills for boys and girls aged 12 to 15.

Some variance to the age guideline will be permitted dependent on the player’s skill level.

The skills program is to be conducted at Dubbo Sports World on Sunday and Monday, January 10 and 11 from 9am to 4pm.

The program will include sessions in batting, bowling, fielding and match assessment and will use video analysis and bowling machines to assist in the skill development.

With plenty of interest been shown for this clinic Mr Shepherd has advised that available positions are becoming very limited.

Cost of the two-day clinic is set at $96 or $50 for the one day.

The second holiday program on offer at Dubbo SportsWorld, the Sports Holiday Program, caters for the youngsters aged seven to 12 years.

The Sports Holiday Program puts an emphasis on fun and participation with the youngsters being able to develop skills in their major activity including soccer, cricket and basketball whilst still being given the chance to have some fun playing other sports.

They will also get the chance to have a go at the hugely popular laser skirmish and with coaches Wayne Burge (Soccer), Max Shepherd (Cricket) and Claire Hargreaves (Basketball) direct the activities, mums and dads can be assured the kids will gain plenty of skills while having a ball.

The holiday program will run for three days from Tuesday January 12 to Thursday, January 14 from 10am to 3pm.

Cost for the three-day program is set at $130 or a casual daily rate of $50.
