SASS Soccer Club has launched itself into the electronic age with the development of a new website and presence on Facebook.
Club president Chris Ambler said the website would help the club keep up to date with players, parents and coaches throughout the year and already held information about 2010 registration days.
“Thanks to our new sponsor, Terry Wilcher, we have launched a website that is likely to prove an invaluable resource to everyone associated with the club,” Ambler said.
“Terry is a parent and coach with SASS, as well as being a web designer, and has come on board to the executive of the club as publicity officer this year.
“With support from The Verb Garden we have been able to develop an informative and colourful website that will contain everything from match draws to the canteen roster throughout the season.
“We are trying to make it easier for all our players and coaches to find the information they need, including team details, training times, field maps and any forms coaches or players need to complete.
“We even plan for coaches to lodge their match reports online each week.
“I have spoken to some of the people associated with the club over the years to document some of our history and gathered information about some famous SASS players, including Adrian Leijer and the Sykes twins.”
New and returning SASS players need to register to play in the 2010 season by attending registration between 11.30am and 4pm on Saturday, February 20 or Sunday the 28th.
