The end results was St John’s with an average of 12.75 finishing in front of CYMS at 10.3.
St John’s sent CYMS into bat after winning the toss.
The Saints showed great determination and teamwork in the field to keep the runs to a minimum.
Harrison Carlow excelled in the roll of opening bowler, taking three wickets and finishing with figures of 3 for 8 off 2 overs.
Charlie Kempston was the standout batsman hitting five impressive sixes in a row for a top score of 39.
Allrounder Tyler Barber once again helped his team to victory with a healthy 11 runs and taking 1-5 off 2.
Connor Petty and Alex Ford were excellent in the field with Alex taking a great catch to seal the win for St John’s. This game showed all players that it is vital to protect your wickets.
Nathan Hawke top scored for CYMS with 13 runs, and Callan Braithwaite and Will Graham both made 9.
The game saw some great bowling figures for CYMS with Samuel Thompson getting a wicket for two runs, Matthew Miller 2-5, Max Field 2-6 and Luke Ensor and Callan Braithwaite a wicket each.

An excellent performance was put in by the Newtown 10s and they were nearly rewarded with their first win of the season.
They averaged 13.5 but narrowly missing out to Colts who averaged 15.2.
Newtown lost a couple of early wickets but with some sensible batting overall, they managed a total of 69.
William Piras, Heath Irwin and Brendan Leach each scored 10 from their turn at bat with Dalton Turner top scoring with 21.
With Colts at the crease, Newtown bowled and fielded very well to restrict Colts to 92.
Pick of the bowlers were Tom Isbester (2 for 13 off 3 overs), William Piras (1-12 off 2.4 overs), Claire Peacock (1-9 off 2 overs) and Dalton Turner (1-8 off 2 overs).
Colts batted well with Kyle Kosseriss and Kieran Moore both making good scores of 13.
This was aided by some good running between wickets by Kayla Ashford and Jacob Brunner.
The game was played in good spirits and all players enjoyed themselves and credit to Craig Moore for how his Colts team conducted themselves during the game.
