The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting fine weather today and tomorrow, but the mornings will be fresh.
There was an early frost yesterday morning when the minimum temperature was recorded at minus 1.3 degrees Celsius.
Another frost is on the cards today when the temperature will range from one to 16 degrees, according to the bureau.
Dubbo may still need its bed socks tomorrow when the temperature drops to three degrees before climbing during the day to 15 degrees. Come Monday the bureau suggests residents grab their umbrellas again because of a “shower or two”.
The city will wake to six degrees with the daytime maximum 13 degrees.
The hottest day so far this month was Tuesday with a maximum temperature of 19.6 degrees, while the coldest day was July 2 when a maximum of nine degrees caused the city to shiver.
The coldest morning was yesterday and the warmest morning on Sunday when the minimum temperature was 10.8 degrees.
The average maximum temperature for July 2010 to date is 15.2 degrees and the average minimum temperature 4.9 degrees compared with the long-term averages of 15.3 and three, respectively. Long-term average rainfall for the month of July in Dubbo is 41.6mm.
Rain fell across five of the past six days with about 21mm recorded by the bureau.
The biggest recorded fall for the period and the month was 18.6mm on Wednesday, a significant contributor to the total rainfall of 25.8mm for July 2010 to date.
