Troy Paton has developed a website, which allows separated parents to develop their own share-care timetables and calendars, potentially saving them hundreds of dollars.
He developed the website as an extension of the not-for-profit separated parents support group, Lyinx.
The group supports parents going through family court, separation and saves lives, according to Mr Paton.
“The support group and website offers no legal advice, but has a forum for parents to chat between themselves about family separation matters and it has 800 hits per week at the moment,” Mr Patan said.
“Through the website it has been discovered that the number one issue separated parents have is lack of communication, that is why I have created this website.”
Mr Paton said the website was very visual and easy to use.
“Instead of paying a solicitor hundreds of dollars in legal fees, parents can draw up their own plans and give them to their solicitors to give to the judge,” Mr Paton said.
“The website is also great for families as it helps parents save their money and not spend it in court, where they fight around the children.”
The support group website address is www.lyinx.com.au.
The website to download the plans for sharing parents is www.custodyxchange.com.au.
The website offers free video tutorials and testimonials.
