This bull could be yours if you offer the right price.
After spending more than a week in solitary confinement this black poll bull gave up waiting for its owner as of yesterday.
The bull was picked up by Dubbo City Council rangers after it was found wandering along the Dunedoo Road almost two weeks ago.
Despite advertising the bull’s impoundment no owner came forward to claim it.
Interested buyers have the chance to put a bid on it from today and council hopes local farmers will take some interest in the bull.
Acting Environmental Control manager Ray Doyle says the bull is considered to be quite valuable and is surprised no one has claimed it.
“Nobody has claimed him, no one has even called us to ask about him,” Mr Doyle said.
“There is still time to save him from market, people can put tenders in to buy him.
“Council will take expressions of interest until March 18. People can offer however much they want, it just has to cover our costs for keeping him the last few weeks.
“I’ve been told he’s quite a valuable bull so I’m quite sure there will be offers for him.”
If no expressions of interest are made the lost bull will be sent straight to the markets.
Mr Doyle said he hoped the bull would find a good home rather than go to the saleyards.
