There is no denying it, Dubbo - winter is well and truly here.
Yesterday, for those who braved the early morning frost, minus three degrees was not quite record-breaking but it was certainly below average, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
The record was set in July 2002 at minus 5.4 degrees, so this morning should have been much easier to bear being almost eight degrees warmer.
Don’t be fooled though, as throughout the weekend you won’t want to remove your woolies with the temperature not expected to reach above 16 degrees.
At a minimum of four degrees today, things should warm up to peak at the maximum of 15 degrees.
Tomorrow, though, the mercury heads back south to sit on zero degrees for the minimum, four degrees below June’s average, before being predicted to climb to a mere 16 degree maximum.
Today and tomorrow the sun will be shining with fine weather predicted but the mornings will bring back the icy frost.
The conditions’ forecast look much the same for Monday with a minimum of three degrees and maximum of 16.
