Yesterday, six contestants were required to fish poker chips from the bottom of a man-made swamp on the Macquarie River, while two crocodiles circled around them.
Production manager Ricky Saxena described the hit show as "Survivor meets Big Brother and The Amazing Race."
Contestants are required to perform tasks for either money or immunity from the weekly elimination challenge.
"It is a game of strategy, as well as adventure, entertainment and anticipation," Mr Saxena said.
"The stakes are really high for the contestants."
Roadies is in it's sixth season of production set to air on MTVIndia in less than two weeks time.
The Dubbo landmarks to feature are the Macquarie River, Dubbo Gaol and Apex Oval.
"The contestants played a match of blind-folded rugby union against the Dubbo Rhino Sheila's on the weekend," Mr Saxena said.
The crew of 20 Australians and 40 Indians spent the past three days in Dubbo generating investment for the town.
"After each series the cult travels the same trek the contestants did, which means Dubbo will have an influx of tourist in the next few months because of the filming here," he said.
Mr Saxena praised the community spirit, support and involvement in the process.
"The crew and I were even given 'I love Dubbo' t-shirts."
