Dubbed the world’s largest sports model search, the 2009 TW Steel Miss SuperGP runs in more than 200 nights of promotion, with more than 2500 young women entering the competition.

There will be two heats and a final held in Dubbo, with the first set down for Friday July 17.

To date 10 girls have entered the competition, including 19-year-old Jess Cross, who finished runner-up in the recent Face of Origin competition.

Jess is looking forward to the Miss SuperGP competition and hopes it will help open up further modelling opportunities for her.

“I would really like to get some work out of the competition,” Jess said.

“After Face of Origin I was offered work as a ring girl for a boxing tournament which was great.”

The winner of the Dubbo heat will spend 10 days at the Gold Coast.

They will attend official VIP functions, perform grid duties at the start of the big race, feature at media events and meet the who’s who of the racing world.

They will undergo four judging sessions in interview, photography, swimwear and sportswear.
